Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday! Since the release of the Wicked Anthology is coming soon, I’ll be posting some of my favorite lines from the series, one book each week, until release day. This week’s six comes from Book 1 in the Wicked Series,  Wicked: Tempt Me Not, featuring Devin Shaw, lead singer for the band, and his leading lady, Holly.

In this scene, Devin is contemplating life and Holly’s rapid-fire wit strikes a nerve.

“Why does my life suck so bad?” 

“Because you’re an asshole and have no manners?” 

Devin opened one eye, turning his head to look at her. “You’re not nearly as cute as you think you are.” 

“I don’t think I’m cute at all,” Holly grinned. “Just honest.”
