The shifter novel is finished. Well, first draft is finished, I should say. My three-headed monster of a plot had to go, though. It was dragging the story down a bit and I’m not one to clutter in pages and pages of stuff just to make a bigger book. That’s what sequel’s are for! LOL Which is what I’m doing. I have 2 planned already but I know there will be more. I have too many characters to explore not to write them. So far I have another shifter (the second book) and a vampire that are whispering to me so I know they’ll have their stories. Guess we’ll have to see who else pops up and wants their story told.

I’ve already started the second story. Of course I have less than 100 words but after spending 11 straight days neglecting my life to write, I feel I have to do some domestic duties so the hubby doesn’t start giving me the hairy eyeball. He’s already dropped so many “we really need to clean this, or that, before we go on vacation,” hints that I’m starting to see a pattern. I think maybe he wants me to clean something and stay off the computer. LOL Which is probably what I NEED to do. We’re leaving for vacation in 9 days and I’ve yet to do one thing to prepare. Well, that’s a lie. I did round up all the books I’ll be taking with me to read. LOL I’m sure the hubby is going to LOVE seeing that bag. 😉

The first round of edits have been done on Wicked 4… it is now with my CP’s awaiting their input. One has already sent hers back and she loved it. She actually said she didn’t know which she liked best, Mick’s story or Luke’s. LOL Those two were definitely my bad boys. Personally, I think Mick was just a little bit more wicked. That boy had some mouth on him. The story will be available September 20th!

I’ve been flying through this paranormal ‘shifter’ novel I’ve been writing, too. I had started it back at the first of the year and hit a brick wall I couldn’t get past, so I shoved it in my ‘started but probably never going to finish’ folder. Once I finished up Wicked, I opened it again, re-read all 60+ pages I had of it, found my problem, and started restructuring it. 9 days later and I’ve added another 78 pages to it. O_O I’m writing the last scenes now. I only have maybe 2 more to go… 3 at the most. Of course these particular characters weren’t finished with me. I have whispered bits of scenes flashing through my head so it’s safe to say we’ll have a sequel, maybe even a trilogy here. I don’t really know yet. I could ‘make’ it a 10 book series if I wanted to but my muse gets bored playing in the same sandbox too long. He likes the adventure of finding new, bigger sandboxes so we’ll just have to wait and see where he goes.

Wicked: Sweet Temptation [Book 4] is finally done. Well, the first draft is done, I should say. This book literally kicked my butt. My characters did not want to play the way I wanted them to and after a week of banging my head on the desk, I finally just let them have their way and finished the book in two days. O_o You have no idea how relieved I feel. LOL I’ve posted the book blurb on my website if you want to see what Mick has in store for him. It’s a doozy!

The minute I finished Mick’s book, I immediately started digging through my files and found the Christmas story I started a while back. I have 30 pages of it already written so I’m hoping to get it ready in time for the holidays. I have plenty of time but anyone who reads my blog knows how lazy my muse is. He needs constant whippings to get him to work and I wrestle with him more than I should but what can you do? I just wait him out and he eventually comes around.

I’ve been up ALL NIGHT LONG getting this story finished and I’m dead tired. It’s now… 8am and as useless as it seems to sleep ‘now’ I have to at least have a nap. LOL

I’ve written a short little ficlet(missing scene) from Wicked: Tempt Me Not [Book 1 in the Wicked Series] and placed it on my yahoo group. It’s a sappy little smut piece I wrote in hopes of stirring my laggin muse into actually working. If you’d like to read it, head over to my group. It’s in the ‘Files’ section under ‘Free Reads’.
