Tuesday Tales :: Book Recommendations

I thought I’d mix it up a bit here on the blog and instead of talking about my books every week, I’ll be bringing you other authors books as well.

I actually saw this idea over at Anna Kathryn’s blog as part of her Saturday Salacious Suggestions. Since I started to write my new Willow Creek Series, I haven’t had much time to read and I love getting lost in new worlds and adventures but finding those adventures isn’t very easy when there are literally thousands of books out there. So, on Tuesdays, I’ll be giving you book recs…of MY favorite books but, there’s a twist….

In the comments, I’m going to let other authors Rec their OWN books to you so, if you’re a author, and would like to suggest one of your books to my readers, look to the bottom of this page for the rules.

But first…my Book rec for today.

Author: C.L. Wilson
Title: Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul #1)

Blurb:
Once he had scorched the world.

Once he had driven back overwhelming darkness.

Once he had loved with such passion, his name was legend…

TAIREN SOUL

Now a thousand years later, a new threat calls him from the Fading Lands, back into the world that had cost him so dearly. Now an ancient, familiar evil is regaining its strength, and a new voice beckons him–more compelling, more seductive, more maddening than any before.

As the power of his most bitter enemy grows and ancient alliances crumble, the wildness in his blood will not be denied. The tairen must claim his truemate and embrace the destiny woven for him in the mists of time.

I Love, Love, Love this series! Its a bit of fantasy romance with shape-shifting fae kings, magic, truemates and evil sorcerers. If you’ve never read it, check it out. You won’t regret it!

The Lawman – Historical Western Romance

On the run from her ex-lover…Jilted by a no-show husband…And now mistaken for a whore in the Diamond Back Saloon…Abigail Thornton doesn’t think things can get any worse. That is until a single slap to a man’s face starts a barroom brawl that lands her in the last place she expected to be.Town Marshal Morgan Avery wants nothing more than to wash away the trail-dust and sleep for a week, preferably with a soft, willing woman by his side. Instead, he gets Abigail Thornton – all one hundred pounds of her thrust at him seconds before a fist connects with his face. Breaking up the fight takes more effort than he wants to admit and when the last man falls he finds Abigail still standing and not looking the least bit contrite.Throwing her into the town jail for the night would salve his wounded pride and then he will let her go. Or that was the plan. When morning comes he finds himself oddly reluctant to do so. Miss Thornton is hiding something and he aims to find out what, even if he has to bed her to do so. But will one night in her bed be enough?

It’s great when authors get together to cross promote. We should do it more often so thanks for this op.

Can I Keep You by Candy NicksAdult rated historical paranormalBlurbWhen Kane picks up a runaway on the streets of Victorian England his only thought is to have a few days of amusement and a decent meal. He is a vampire, after all – it’s what he does. But Laura has to be the most unconvincing whore he’s ever met. She soon finds out that there are ways other than brute force and strength to bring a vampire to his knees. As time passes, she becomes the catalyst for his journey of redemption, bringing back all-too-painful memories of Harry, the gentle man he once was. It’s not an easy road. Along the way they encounter forces of evil that have other plans for Laura and Kane. And the question neither of them really wants to answer hovers always in the background. Oh isn’t CL Wilson’s Tairen Soul Series just beyond Fabulous. She wrote such amazing characters, a truly epic fantasy and a Romance for the ages

  6. Lily Graison says:

Oh gosh yes! I read these as they came out and I ‘still’ think about these characters from time to time. They stick with you, always. Not a lot of characters do so its always an added bonus when you come across those books that do. I know she has a few more books that take off from this series and I can not wait until they’re released. Thanks for stopping by, Shauni!
