Writer Wednesday #4

The past week hasn’t been very productive. Not in terms of ‘writing’ they haven’t. I’m editing The Outlaw and I’ll be the first to say, I loathe it! I always have.

The hardest part of writing a book is writing it and once I’ve done that, my muse is ready to move on to the next story. So am I, so having to stop writing to go over a manuscript, line by line, looking at every word, every sentence, every comma…it just sucks the life out of me.

I haven’t devoted every hour of my day to it and I’m probably farther behind on the task than I should be. But I really can’t help it. Have I mentioned how much I dislike editing?

I have made it half way through a print book, proofing it for final approval. I haven’t found much wrong in it, thankfully, so once I get to The End, I’ll just have a few changes to make and it can go live. Of course, I have two more to proof after that, one of which is nearly 400 pages.

So, my week in a nutshell: Editing. Proofing. Procrastinating.

Have a good week, everyone! I’ll be over here pouting while I edit this book.

Until next time,
Lily
