I managed to write 3,000 words yesterday. It’s not much, but after the months of sitting here staring at my manuscript and nothing coming out, I’m pleased. I hope it wasn’t just a one time thing. I’ve been working on this particular story for 3 years now. Yes, I know. Get it done already! But – it isn’t that easy. The plot is full of twists and I hate outlines, so I have to try and keep everything in order in my head. It’s a lot of work but I can’t do it any other way. I’m a ‘fly by the seat of my pants’ kind of writer and having everything all planned out just–sucks the fun out of it for me. I’d rather be surprised by the twists and turns just as my characters are. The story is always more interestig when I experience everything right alone with my Hero and Herione. It keeps it fresh. Plus, if I already know everything that is going to happen, then why do I need to bother writing it down? LOL All material ©2005-2012 to Lily Graison
The short Halloween story I’ve been working on…is trash. I hate it. Actually hate is too mild. It totally sucks to be honest. I’ve changed it around, deleted, added on and still–its garbage. *sigh* Why can’t I write anything usable! Off to sulk and try to think up something ingenious. All material ©2005-2012 to Lily Graison

Well, I just cut 5 pages of text out of my current WIP. Man do I ever hate doing that. It seems like such a waste. And this isn’t a case of just using it somewhere else. This can’t be used again in this story–maybe not any. Oh well, it happens, right? Of course–we now have the task of re-writting a fat chunk of the beginning which will drastically change the entire story line. Hopefully it’ll be a better change and not leave me with a big gapping whole I can’t work myself out of, which is why I had to cut the beginning to start with. A viscious cirle. Thats what it is. My website is back online. Luckily it was only down for a day, so all is good. I’ve been going through my story files and found an interesting little story I started way back when. I don’t think it’s anything BOOK worthy but maybe a free read? It’s at 6 pages so far so you may see it sometime soon. I have tons of others too. If I had a full novel for every snippet I’ve started, I’d have enough material to last me the next 10 years! Too bad the usual dead-end always puts the breaks on a good start. I’ve been working on the Newsletter and for the life of me, I can’t find one intersting thing to put in it! There’s no new ‘news’ to report – no books to feature…nothing. I really hate resorting to eye candy but it looks like it may be my only option. Cross your fingers I find something interesting to say other than “Oh…look at those abs!” lol All material ©2005-2012 to Lily Graison
lilygraison.com is down. I apparently didn’t renew it. It looks like – they’d send a NOTE or something telling you – “Hey, this thing is going to shut off if you don’t pay me.” but no – you have to wait for someone to try and access it and email you before you know. *rolls eyes* I guess I need to make myself a note for next year! I finally got the blog template working. There seemed to be an issue with the original files the template maker had hosted. It exceeded bandwidth constantly. So, they moved them and viola! The layout is showing up. No writing this week. I’ve been helping Gayle Eden/Eve Abury. She needed help with her website, so I tore in to it and completly overhauled it for her. She’s thrilled with the way it turned out – which pleases me to no end. I still have her links page to go through. Some of her links were dead and I just copied them as is, so – a little more work there and we’ll be done. I got a rather ammusing story idea yesterday. I won’t say what it is other than it involves naked cowboys! LOL It should be interesting and FUN to write. It’s looking to be a romantic comedy of sorts, so it should be a hoot to write. Now I just have to find the time to actually WRITE it. Oh well. It’ll go in the ‘story’ file with all my other brilliant ideas. LOL All material ©2005-2012 to Lily Graison
Here are a few things to think about that you probably have never thought about: Can you cry under water? How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered? Why do you have to “put your two cents in”…but it’s only a “penny for your thoughts”? Where’s that extra penny going to? Once you’re in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity? Why does a round pizza come in a square box? What disease did cured ham actually have? How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels onluggage? Why is it that people say they “slept like a baby” when babies wake up like every two hours? If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing? Why are you IN a movie, but you’re ON TV? Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground? Why do doctors leave the room while you change? They’re going to see you naked anyway. Why is “bra” singular and “panties” plural Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat? If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a stupid song about him? Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane? If the professor on Gilligan’s Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can’t he fix a hole ina boat? Why do people point to their wrist when asking for the time, but don’t point to their crotch when they ask where … Keep Reading!
